The nation’s capital has now hit the grim milestone of 100 murders this year, but despite worrying figures, Democrats who have been pushing to ‘defund the police’ have gone eerily silent.

On 9 July, Washington, D.C., reached its 100th homicide.

Far-left “Squad” members were contacted by Fox News for their take on the deadly shooting wave and whether they believed abolishing the police had played a part in the soaring murders.

Those members who remained silent were:

• Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 
• Jamaal Bowman
• Mondaire Jones of New York
• Ilhan Omar of Minnesota
• Rashida Tlaib of Michigan
• Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts
• Cori Bush of Missouri
