New York City will require residents to show proof of vaccination for indoor activities, including at restaurants, performances, and gyms, becoming the first major city in the U.S. to do so.

The story: New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Tuesday morning that the city will require proof of vaccination for people participating in indoor activities. It will also apply to employees who work at those places.
